You'll enjoy cozy accommodations, tons of great entertainment, and delicious food at no extra costs. With all these perks, every vacation should be a cruise. Unfortunately, cruise reservations are costly, and most people have to prepare well in advance. Yet, there are ways to find inexpensive cruise tickets.

When booking cruise reservations, timing is very important. If you're looking for a low rate, book your next cruise vacation during the off season. This is usually the period right after Labor Day up until the second week in December. Travel time is the lowest in October and November. In an effort to fill the ship, many cruise lines offer excellent discounts on cruise reservations. For example, last year I cruised in mid-November, and a six-day ocean view room on Celebrity Cruise Line was only $436.00. This price included taxes and port fees. However, if I had booked the same vacation during the Christmas holiday or Spring Break, the price would have nearly doubled.
