Beware of Hidden Charges in Cruise Reservations |

If you get discount travel reservations in a package that includes cruise reservations, hotels and plane tickets, it's possible to get some great deals. But even the best deals may include hidden charges that can add up and make those discount travel reservations considerably less than a bargain. For example, your discount travel reservations may be presented to you as "all-inclusive" but there are inevitably charges for things you don't expect. Even on with cruise reservations that are advertised as "all-inclusive" you can get hit with charges for liquor, extra shore excursions, even Internet access. All of these additional charges can add up shockingly, making you responsible for a lot more money than you ever expected. Friends of mine who had cruise reservations to the Caribbean left their children in their stateroom one evening; the children ordered two bottles of non-alcoholic sparkling cider that would cost $6.00 in supermarket. Onboard the ship they cost $42.00! So beware of those hidden costs on a cruise. They can really add up. |
