With airline tickets going up so much in price, more people are taking advantage of the specials that hotels are running for discounted rooms. Las Vegas hotel reservations are being deeply discounted to fill the casinos so entice travelers back to that city. It used to be really inexpensive to fly there, but not so anymore. The price of airline tickets there has more than doubled in the last year, and the hotels there are feeling the pain, just as much as tourists are. If you live within a drivable distance of Las Vegas, you might even be able to stay in a hotel that will give you a gas card along with a discount hotel  reservations. I drove to Las Vegas this spring from Phoenix, and it cost four times more to get there, compared to five years ago, my last previous visit. I drove the same car at about the same speed, so I'll let the hotel buy my gas to get there and back. Yipee!
