flight reservations, airline ticket reservations  All travelers have noticed the subtle price increases for flight reservations not to mention the harder time of finding discount travel reservations. Airline fuel prices and less people able to afford airline ticket reservations has forced many international carriers to cut back on their flights overseas. According to USAToday.com, the growth of flight options out of the US is the slowest seen since 2003. If you take into account how much 9/11 affected travel around that time then you can see that things are not looking good for airline companies.

Those that should not worry are those who travel internationally for business. As a research director from Sabre Airline Solutions said, “International business travelers really are the creme de la creme for airlines. They typically are some of an airlines' highest-revenue travelers (usatoday.com).”

Leisure travelers will see the most headaches when it comes to making international flight reservations. Higher prices and fewer available flights should be expected to close out 2008. Oil prices have been dropping though so hopefully the airlines are feeling some relief. All I know is that travel is becoming a luxury again.
