Travel to Spain can be heavenly, but it can just as easily be a nightmare. If you travel to Spain at the right time of year and visit the right location, it is possible to enjoy the trip of a lifetime. The secret to successful travel to Spain is to visit off season and avoid touristy areas. If you are going to travel to Spain, choose a major city and visit between the months of October and April. Alternatively book a stay at a private rural vacation villa. If you plan to travel to Spain, I advise you to not to visit major tourist spots such as Benidorm, Marbella or Ibiza town. You should also avoid booking your trip between the months of June and September. These months are insufferably hot. Furthermore, vacationers from northern Europe flock to Spain during the summer. On arrival these vacationers, mostly young men and women in their late teens and early twenties, flock to the Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol. Their aim is to get drunk for two weeks and participate in all manner of debauched activities. Unless that sounds like your idea of fun, you should probably try to avoid bumping into these drunken crowds of hormonal young adults when you travel to Spain.
