cruise reservations

There are a few different ways to save on cruise reservations.  Book very early, a year or so ahead-the cruise ships like to get their money up front quickly and the sooner you do it the less the cruise costs.  Book very late.  This is chancier to find good rooms or rooms at all, but the proces can be much lower for cruise reservations to help the company fill unused rooms.

If you have cruised before the cruise lines send great offers early in the year to encourage people to sign up and be a repeat customer. For example you can initially sign up for a cheap inside cabin and get great upgrades for minimal price increases to a higher level floor (closer to the food) and to an outside cabin with a view.

When looking to make cruise reservations and considering where to go, look at the kind of vacation you like.  Do you just love being on a ship for the cruise itself or are you looking to see a lot of sites. Personally I go for the sites.  So I usually fly to a location where travel time is minimal on the ship until the first port is reached.  I also look for travel time to the next port.  Is it overnight to the port or several days?  Other people love the ship, as I do also, so they don't mind days of cruising to get to the first stop.  I want to get there.  The more cruise time, the cheaper the cruise reservations by the way!
