When I was recently looking for airline ticket reservations, I decided that this time I’d bypass the travel agent and go directly online to see what I could find.    My husband, who is a creature of habit, decided that there was no way we could find airline ticket reservations online cheaper than the travel agent could, so we decided to place a little wager.   He was to check with the travel agent, and I was going to check online and whoever could come up with the best prices for the airline ticket reservations would win.    We didn’t know what we’d win, but we decided we’d figure the prize out later. 

My husband went to the travel agent and I remember him coming home with a smug look on his face.  I guess he thought he’d won the unnamed prize, but imagine his surprise when I showed him the airline ticket reservations that I’d found for the same flight for several hundred dollars cheaper.   He thought for sure there had to be some catch, but I assured him there was not.   Needless to say, I won the bet and the pay up ended up being dinner at my favorite restaurant.
